Prior to joining MaplesFS, Alexander served as Branch Manager, International Investment Advisory for Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Limited from 2012. While at Scotiabank, Alexander was responsible for the supervision of a diverse group of investment advisors including the review, approval and ongoing monitoring of a wide range of both discretionary and non-discretionary portfolios. In addition he was responsible for maintaining all local and Canadian regulatory requirements related to the provision of advisory and discretionary investment management services and the implementation of KYC, AML and FATCA policies and procedures. From 2006 to 2012, Alexander was a director and senior trader with RBC Capital Markets, where he was a member of the trading desk responsible for executing certain equity financing transactions including: single stock futures transactions, the negotiation of stock loan transactions and execution of total return swap trades. From 2004 to 2006, Alexander was a managing director at RBC Dominion Securities (Global) Limited, supervising investment advisors located in the major Caribbean jurisdictions, including the review and approval of all investment portfolios for high net worth private and institutional clients.
