Michelle is responsible for the management of FATCA and CRS related services for fund clients, including coordinating the implementation of process change in relation to the opening of new investor accounts under FATCA and CRS, the remediation of existing accounts to new FATCA and CRS standards and coordinating reporting by fund clients as required under FATCA and CRS.
Michelle joined MaplesFS in 2013. She was previously Head of Banking and Custody at Credit Suisse AG, Cayman Islands where she was responsible for the provision of banking and custody services to Prime Fund Services clients in the hedge fund industry. Prior to that, Michelle was Head of Fund Accounting at Fortis Prime Fund Solutions in the British Virgin Islands. From 1999 to 2007, Michelle held a managerial position at PwC in Wellington, New Zealand. She began her career as an accountant at Hunter Brocklebank Dey Chartered Accountants in Dunedin, New Zealand and an accountant, then manager with Rutherfords Chartered Accountants in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
